Connection help

Scans, but won’t connect?

Work through these checks in order. The generator never needs your actual credentials to diagnose the common causes.

1. Confirm the exact network name

The SSID is case-sensitive and must match spaces, punctuation and capital letters exactly. Copy it from the router or a connected device.

2. Check the password and security

Re-enter the case-sensitive password with no accidental leading or trailing spaces. Choose WPA/WPA2/WPA3 Personal for mixed WPA2/WPA3 routers—not WEP.

3. Check hidden and enterprise networks

Enable Hidden only when the router does not broadcast its name. Enterprise WiFi requiring a username, certificate or captive portal cannot normally auto-join through the standard WiFi QR format.

4. Test the downloaded and printed result

Scan with the built-in iPhone Camera and Android camera or Google Lens. Print at Actual size/100%, avoid glossy glare and keep the white space around the QR unobstructed.

Why is verification important?

The site decodes the finished artwork—not just the source data—and compares the result exactly before downloads are enabled.

Which WiFi networks work?

Personal WPA, WPA2, WPA3 mixed, WEP and open networks are supported. Enterprise usernames, captive portals and some WPA3-only setups require manual joining.

What is saved?

Standard mode saves nothing and refresh clears the form. Collaboration mode temporarily stores encrypted session data and recent encrypted revisions until an authorised person clears it or seven days pass without an approved edit. A credential-free diagnostic is retained for 30 days only when you explicitly send one.

What should I test?

Scan one downloaded or printed copy with both an iPhone and Android phone before producing a large print run.
